Amazing how many people who say they listen to metal and rock have never heard of Savatage. Most underrated band ever. One of the best metal bands by far.

Its so sad that Chris died and Jon never quite got over this. He let himself go and became overweight to a dangerous degree. Hope he looses weight and keeps composing wonderful music. They are brothers for life. My brother should me this song. I love you brother. And as the song says. In the dark its easier to see who really loves you in your family and who are your real friends.

band had one of the nicest crunchiest distortion tones. I think their career was tragically cut short by a accident while they were traveling to or from a large rock festival somewhere in Florida. Either one or both of the Oliva brothers were killed in the accident.

This band is ridiculously good man . For me it is the only band who get close to MetallicA's beauty.

Such an underrated band! Very sad and haunting lyrics... Kinda applies to anyone old and worn out looking back on what was and what could have been but also excepting the end is near and the race has been ran... They had the total package, song writing, vocals, instrumentals, all of it!

I like the combination of classical and metal fused into one.Some of the members are in transiberian orchestra another vreat band.
